Transavia is a low costairline operating mainly from airports in the Netherlands, Austria, Parisand Copenhagen.  It is not clear to us if this is a low cost or a no frills airline.  It seems that when ever we look about the only airlines they are (slightly) cheaper than is the mainline carriers.  Normally the routes they fly are the same (or similar to) those flown by Air France/KLM - who just happen to own them.  It seems to us as well that when ever completion enters into a market between the 3, they either dump so much capacity onto the routes as to kill off the alternatives, or there is so much demand that they do not need to compete solely on price.

Transavia claims to be a low cost airline, and whilst the crew were friendly and poilte the costs were not low.  I don't consider this a particualary low cost airline, more a high cost withour the peanuts.  It is also not possible to change a ticket, even for a fee.  The overall impression, is that even though the crew is friendly it is still a low cost service, for a mainline price.
