Living Here:

Living in the Netherlandsis generally straight forward.  There is a wide range of international schools, and some Dutch schools have international sections.  Equally English and other languages are widely spoken, meaning that you can normally survive without more than basic Dutch.
Property is easy to rent, and the buying process is generally straight forward.  Most agents are regulated (look for the NVM logo) which means you are unlikely to end up on the wrong side of them.  Unregulated agents exist, and are becoming more popular, although we would not discourage you from using them; your protections are lower in case of dispute.
That said like most independent traders, non-NVM agents rely on there reputation and service to stay in business.
