Museums and monuments free for people under 26 .

 

Museums and monuments free for children under 26 years and their teacher, this new law started the 4th of April in France which means, if you are under 26 years or you are a teacher  with a first or second degree in Education, you can visit for free the Louvres , Versailles, the Quai Branly museum, the Pompidou centre in Paris or the Mont Saint Michel in Brittany! ( all national museums and exhibitions)

Only restriction you must be a citizen of the European Union  and this measure is only valid for permanent exhibitions and museums.

A few example of what is on the menu for free in France are the Natural History Museum in Paris, the Arc de Triumph on the Champs Elysees, The Pantheon, the city of Carcassonne, Carnac and the towers of Notre Dame and much more, the list is not exhausted.

Fifty museums and hundreds of national monuments are now free!

Festivities were held  to mark the event, especially in Paris and the regions.

 

The measure is designed to try to encourage youth to take a more active role in Cultural events.

This measure, will cost the French Government 30 million Euros per year, and will benefit to 50 million young Europeans to promote the free access to Culture in France.
