Your pets are part of your family and it is possible to take them with you in France Italy or Spain. If you follow some simple rules, your pet will soon be enjoying your new life in the sun with you. Prepare well in advance and talk to your vet who will have the most up to date information you need. Remember, you can only take a maximum of 2 pets with you to Spain

There are many  problems that come because of transporting pets from one place to another. One such issue is the sedation given to them for boarding them in the planes.

Most of the deaths of the animals are because of the side effects of the sedater. If you are sure that your pet animal will make the journey without causing any incident of sorts, you must inform your vet about this as the use of sedation is not mandatory and is not used when the animal behaves well and remains obedient throughout the journey.  If you feel your pet does not net sedation, tell the vet and write it on the documents, this will mean that it is not given along the route.

Another issue is the effects caused by pressure and high altitude in the confined spaces of an airplane on any animals (including humans).

If your pet does not adapt themselves easily to changes in their environment or if you doubt that your pet will behave in its usual manner, speak to your veterinarian and they will diagnose the problem in your pet and can advise on way counter them using medications or other tips.

The rules and the effects of transport on your pet could be reasons to discourage you and dissuade you from moving your pet, however, considering the option of never ever seeing your pet animal again, you can take these measures so that when you settle with your pet in the new country, you will feel that it indeed is worth the measures.
