Supermarkets on most of the streets in Playa del Ingles are little more than convenience stores, with prices that are considerably higher that you can find else where.  If you are without a car, and are looking for better value, a bigger Spar (with Spanish Prices) and a Spanish supermarket, can be found to the north of the main town center on the other side of the main road.  To get to these supermarkets, you can walk directly up the Av de Tirjana, or take the bridge across the main road from the shopping canters on the Av de Gran Canaria. The super markets are in the street running parallel to the highway, with the Spanish one being at the bottom of the hill.
